Traditional rulers from parts of the Federal Capital Territory have thrown their weight behind the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying satellite towns have witnessed unprecedented federal presence in the last two years.
The monarchs, including the Gomo of Kuje, Alhaji Dr Haruna C. Jibrin; the Esu Sa’Rubochi, Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Pada; and the Etsu of Kwali, Luka Ayedo Nizassan, spoke while receiving members of the FCT Renewed Hope Ambassadors led by their Coordinator, Hon. Adamu Abdullahi, also known as Candido, in their palaces on Thursday.
The Esu Sa’Rubochi of Kuje Area Council commended Abdullahi’s appointment and the scale of development in his domain, declaring that “even the blind can feel the presence of government in Rubochi.”
He pledged total support for President Tinubu and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, vowing to deploy his influence to ensure a sweeping victory for the All Progressives Congress in the forthcoming elections.
Similarly, the Gomo of Kuje praised the transformation of road infrastructure in the area, noting that “improved connectivity has opened Kuje to an influx of businesses and residents who now regard the town as a viable economic hub.”
He said the attention given to Kuje by the Tinubu administration through the FCT Minister had made the impact of governance evident, assuring that his domain would mobilise fully for the Area Council polls and the President’s re-election. He also offered prayers for the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, wishing them unity and success.
At the palace of the Etsu of Kwali, the monarch’s spokesperson and former Area Council Chairman, Hon. Illiya Nizazo, welcomed the delegation, expressing gratitude for Abdullahi’s appointment, the recognition given to their son as minister and the infrastructural projects boosting commercial activities in the area.
Nizazo assured the President of Kwali’s continued loyalty to the APC in all elections and urged the ambassadors to take their message to every clan across the FCT.
Responding, the Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors highlighted ongoing infrastructural and developmental projects under Tinubu’s administration in the FCT, describing Wike as a results-driven minister fondly known as “Mr Project.”
