A member of House of Representatives and a close ally of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Hon James Abiodun Faleke has advised Nigerians to guard their Permanent Voter’s Cards judiciously.
Faleke who doubles as National Coordinator of Presidential Coalition Council noted that this is necessary in order to avoid any form of disappointment that can prevent them from voting during the 2027 general elections.
He made these assertions on Saturday in Ibadan during the launch of the council and political sensitisation programme organised by a chieftain of the party Hon. Ayotunde Bakare.
The event was attended by members of Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Shittu Ibrahim and Hon. Musbau Azeez, Alhaji Mufutau Adisa Gbayawu, Alhaji Abu Gbadamosi, Hon. Alli, Mrs Abegbo Lawal, Madam Isijola, Hon. Akeem Bamgbola, Hon. Tunde Williams, Hon. Femi Afikuyomi.
Faleke who was represented by Hon. Abiodun Mafe, enjoined APC members and other Nigerians to keep their PVCs safe ahead of the elections.
He advised them to guard their PVCs against theft and other criminal activities as he enjoined those who are yet to get their PVCs to do so within the time frame.
Faleke said, “Party members should not entertain any fears as APC would become victorious at both the national level and Oyo State. I urge party members and all Nigerians to keep their Permanent Voter’s Card safe, guard them against theft while those without PVCs should go and register for it.
“Voter’s card is needed to cast votes and that efforts at sensitisation would come to nothing without having voter’s card”.
Bakare in his remarks declared that none of the exiting political parties in the country has the capacity to stop the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
The APC chieftain who acknowledged that Tinubu’s reforms have brought discomfort to many Nigerians, however declared that those reforms are necessary in order to rebuild the economy.
He urged Nigerians to exercise patience and resilience in the face of ongoing economic reforms, assuring that the current hardships would give way to long-term prosperity under the administration’s recovery agenda.
He commended the leadership Faleke and he said that Faleke was not new to presidential victory as he was the DG for Tinubu Campaign Council in 2023.
A member of the council, Hon. Abdullah Enilolobo, while speaking disclosed that the launch of PCC beginning from Ibadan was strategic as Ibadan controls half of Oyo total votes.
