Popular Nigerian Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Toyin Abraham has unveiled the trailer for her upcoming film project titled ‘Oversabi Aunty’.
Sharing the trailer on Instagram on Wednesday, the actress wrote: “She has a solution for everyone… and she’s bringing big comedy, family drama, loud laughter, and real-life lessons along with it. Watch the trailer for OVERSABI AUNTY. In cinemas nationwide from December 18, 2025.”
The film, which stars Tana Adelana, Mike Ezuruonye and others, is scheduled to hit cinemas on December 19, according to cinema listings. The project runs for approximately one hour and 40 minutes.
Oversabi Aunty also marks Toyin Abraham’s big-screen directorial debut.
In an earlier promotional message, she described the project as a major step in her career, saying:
“My first big screen directorial debut, Oversabi Aunty, won’t just be LOUD — it’ll be LEGENDARY! That’s a promise! 100. Come December 19th, Nigerians will laugh, and most importantly — learn from real-life stories.”
She further explained that the film goes beyond comedy.
“No matter how loud the chaos gets, a true Oversabi finds strength, laughter, and lessons in every moment. Just like Oversabi Aunty, it’s more than comedy; it’s real life, it’s family, it’s strength in story,” she said.
The idea for the name was inspired by the video of Toyin at Priscilla Ojo’s wedding where guests teased her about being “oversabi” because of her exuberant behaviour.
