During the operation, the EFCC recovered laptops, mobile phones, a router, and a Play Station 4 from the suspects. The commission has vowed to leave no stone unturned in following the cases to their logical conclusions as they will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

The EFCC’s crackdown on cybercrime syndicates is part of its efforts to combat internet fraud, which has become a major problem in Nigeria. The agency has been working to track down and prosecute those involved in various cybercrime activities, including phishing scams, identity theft, and online payment fraud.

With the rise of online transactions and the increasing use of the internet in Nigeria, cybercrime has become a major concern for law enforcement agencies. The EFCC’s efforts in busting this syndicate will serve as a deterrent to other cybercriminals and will help to reduce the incidence of cybercrime in the country.

The EFCC’s successful operation in Akwa Ibom State is a testament to the agency’s commitment to fighting cybercrime in Nigeria. The arrest of 14 suspected internet fraudsters and the recovery of electronic devices from them sends a strong message to cybercriminals that their activities will not be tolerated.
