Harrison Gwamnishu, widely recognised for his interventions in kidnapping cases, is facing serious allegations after reports surfaced claiming he personally delivered ransom money to kidnappers but failed to secure the victim’s release.
A family member of the abducted man, a doctor, alleges that cash went missing immediately after the handover. He claims Gwamnishu admitted to the police that roughly five million naira was taken before leaving the station.
Gwamnishu has strongly denied the allegations, asserting that he returned 5.4 million naira to safeguard his reputation from prior successful rescues.
He has demanded a full investigation, citing threats to his safety and pressing for transparency in the handling of ransom funds.
