2Face’s alleged UK arrest sparks confusion as claims, denials collide

Must read

Reports surrounding the alleged arrest of award-winning Nigerian musician, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face or 2Baba, have continued to generate uncertainty as conflicting accounts emerged between his former manager and the artiste himself.

The controversy intensified after a video surfaced online showing a man resembling the singer being led away in handcuffs by UK police officers. The clip spread widely on social media, prompting renewed scrutiny of the incident.

However, the situation took another turn when Kaka Igbokwe, a former manager of the musician, insisted during an Instagram Live session that 2Face was indeed detained in the United Kingdom.

Igbokwe claimed the arrest followed a domestic disagreement involving the singer and his wife, Natasha Osawaru.

According to him, “the matter went out of control, and authorities had to step in.” His claim fuelled further online reactions and deepened public curiosity.

Moreover, 2Face rejected the insinuations. In a statement circulated earlier, the music star maintained that he had never been arrested in the UK.

He explained that his recent absence from an event was due to a medical emergency rather than a confrontation or police involvement.

Nevertheless, no official statement has been released by UK law enforcement to confirm or refute the reported arrest, leaving the controversy unresolved.

Industry watchers believe the uncertainty will persist until an authoritative clarification emerges, especially as the viral video continues to shape public conversation around the artiste.

AFRIPOST reports that, however it unfolds, the incident has already brought renewed attention to the singer’s personal life and raised questions about the accuracy of information shared on social media.
