President Tinubu will reveal terror sponsors – Daniel Bwala

Must read

Nigeria’s security landscape may be heading for a major shake-up as the Presidency prepares to publicly identify those accused of bankrolling terrorist networks in the country.

Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser on Policy Communication to President Bola Tinubu, hinted at the imminent disclosure during a TVC interview yesterday.

He explained that the administration has already taken what he described as “deep and decisive steps” to confront the security crisis.

Bwala stressed that insecurity has grown beyond the capacity of any single nation to handle, noting that extremist violence now moves fluidly across continents.

He described terrorism as “a borderless industry of chaos,” which he said demands coordinated international pressure.

He emphasised that global powers are beginning to show renewed interest in supporting countries like Nigeria, where insurgent groups once suppressed in the Middle East are attempting to build new influence.

“When a country becomes a base for violent extremists, the entire world is at risk,” he said, urging stronger collaboration with foreign partners.

According to him, the shift in global terror activity toward the Sahel has created fresh pressure points that require unified responses.

He explained that these new hotspots make regional cooperation indispensable for long-term stability.

Bwala revealed that President Tinubu’s team is pushing aggressive counter-terrorism measures internally, part of which includes tracking and exposing individuals believed to be providing financial lifelines to extremist cells.

“People will soon understand the full scale of what government has been working on behind the scenes,” he said.

He added that Nigerians should expect a major announcement.

“There are people aiding these groups from within. Their activities are known, and the country will hear their names soon,” he said.

This looming disclosure, according to security analysts, could redefine Nigeria’s approach to combating insurgency and reshape regional partnerships for years to come.
