President Bola Ahmed Tinubu says recent breakthroughs by security agencies show renewed momentum in the fight against insecurity, affirming that every Nigerian will be protected under his watch.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the President said he cancelled his planned trip to the G20 Summit in South Africa to personally oversee ongoing security operations across the country.

He confirmed that all 38 worshippers abducted in Eruku, Kwara State, have been rescued, adding that 51 of the students earlier declared missing from a Catholic school in Niger State have also been recovered.

President Tinubu noted that he had been receiving constant briefings from frontline commanders and is monitoring developments nationwide.

He stressed that his administration remains fully committed to tackling insecurity, insisting that Nigerians everywhere must feel safe.
