Tinubu not capable to rule Nigeria, resign now – Fayose

Must read

Isaac Fayose, brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, has called on President Bola Tinubu to step down, citing what he described as a “failed nation” under his leadership.

In a strongly worded video statement, Fayose questioned the president’s ability to govern amidst rising insecurity, poverty, and democratic decline.

“President Tinubu, if you genuinely love Nigeria, it is time for you to resign now. You are not capable enough to rule our nation at this juncture,” he said.

Fayose highlighted the escalating kidnappings, killings, and failing public services as evidence of government ineffectiveness.

“Our children are getting kidnapped. People are crying every day. No hospitals, no good roads, poverty everywhere, hardship everywhere,” he lamented, urging the president to “resign honourably now.”

The activist further expressed concern over the state of Nigeria’s democracy and judiciary, accusing the administration of undermining democratic institutions.

“Democracy is dying. Our judiciary is now standing on your mandate instead of the mandate of the people,” he said.

Fayose concluded by appealing for generational change in leadership. “Let us have young people to fix our nation. We cannot continue like this. It is time for you to go,” he added.

AFRIPOST reports that the call from Fayose adds to the growing voices of concern over the nation’s security, economic, and governance challenges, raising questions about the capacity of the current administration to tackle these issues effectively.
