Divine mandate team launches campaign ahead of Oyo NUJ election

Divine Mandate Team, a leading team contesting in the forthcoming election of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State council has launched its campaign ahead of the election.

The campaign team was launched at Correspondents’ chapel Secretariat, Mokola Ibadan on Wednesday.

It was witnessed by the Acting Chairman of the chapel, Mr John Alabi, Secretary, Mr Dare Adeoogodiran and other leaders of the chapel.

The colourful event was attended by the Chairmanship candidate, Raji Adebayo, Vice Chairmanship candidate, Adebayo Abdurofih and candidate for the position of Secretary of the union, Olamide Adeniji.

Others are; Moses Morenikeji (Treasurer) and Nurudeen Alimi (Auditor).

Raji while addressing the gathering, promised to build a union that promotes transparency and accountability.

He noted that the welfare of all members of the union will be his priority.

He said that he will build on the achievements of the outgoing Chairman, Mr Ademola Babalola.

He used the opportunity to appeal to all members of the chapel and other members of the union to support his aspiration and that of other members of the team.

He said, “To build a responsive, transparent, and efficient NUJ Council that prioritizes members’ welfare, capacity development, and digital advancement of every journalist in Oyo State with fairness, equity and justice.

“Our Core Agenda. Welfare First. Capacity Building and Continuous Training. Digital Transformation of the Secretariat.

“Transparency and Accountability. Unity and Reform. If entrusted with your mandate, we will serve with integrity, diligence, and innovation”.
