Natasha invites Senate President to Kogi project commissioning

Must read

The Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has extended an invitation to Senate President Godswill Akpabio to attend a project commissioning in her constituency.

Akpabio read the invitation letter, which was also addressed to other senators, during plenary on Thursday.

The event, scheduled for Sunday in Ihima, Kogi State, is to commemorate Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s second anniversary in the National Assembly.

“In marking my second-year anniversary as serving Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I wish to invite fellow Distinguished Senators to join me for projects commissioning in Kogi State,” the letter read.

According to the letter, the meeting point for the event will be Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s residence at Plot 101, Jimoh Akpoti Street, Ihima, Okene, Kogi State. Senators travelling by air are advised to land at the Obajana Airstrip before proceeding to Ihima by road.

After reading the letter, Akpabio congratulated his colleague in advance, saying: “Congratulations in advance.”

The invitation is seen as a major step toward reconciliation following their earlier disagreement over seat reallocation, which led to Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s six-month suspension in March.

Since her return in September, she has been actively engaging in plenary and legislative activities.
