Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has credited President Bola Tinubu for the state’s current wave of development, saying his administration’s achievements were made possible by the president’s economic reforms and transparent leadership.
Speaking during the inauguration of the new Revenue House in Ado-Ekiti on Wednesday, Oyebanji said the state has witnessed unprecedented progress under his watch without resorting to loans, thanks to improved federal allocations made available through Tinubu’s policies.
The governor, who is rounding off his third year in office, revealed that his administration is set to commission 10 road projects across all central districts and six fully renovated secondary schools as part of activities marking the anniversary.
“I give God the glory for what we have achieved so far in Ekiti State,” Oyebanji said.
“But after God, the person who deserves credit is President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“His bold economic reforms have empowered states like ours to execute critical projects without borrowing a dime.”
According to him, Tinubu’s fiscal discipline and commitment to fair resource sharing have created a transparent system that allows every state to benefit from the nation’s wealth.
“For the first time in our history, we are getting our fair share and even more from the federation allocation,” Oyebanji added.
“We have a president who listens, who leads with integrity, and who ensures equity in the distribution of national resources. That has made all the difference for Ekiti.”
The governor emphasized that his administration’s focus on accountability and prudent spending would continue, noting that the people of Ekiti are now witnessing the results of responsible governance.
“With what we have been able to achieve in three years, our people can see that development doesn’t have to come from loans or debt.
“When leadership is sincere and resources are well managed, progress follows naturally,” he said.
Oyebanji’s remarks come amid a series of project inaugurations across the state, underscoring his government’s commitment to infrastructure renewal, education, and fiscal responsibility.
