Must read

Bandits have reportedly attacked Dinkawa village in Charanchi Local Government Area of Katsina State, abducting five residents and carting away several cattle.

A Security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, disclosed this in a post on X (formerly Twitter), noting that the incident occurred yesterday night.

According to him, the attack has further heightened fears among residents as insecurity around the Kankia axis continues to worsen.

“ALERT: Yesterday night, bandits attacked Dinkawa village in Charanchi LGA, Katsina State, abducting five people and rustling several cattle. Insecurity around the Kankia axis is worsening, the Kano–Katsina road was reportedly blocked yesterday after Isha prayers,” Zagazola wrote.

He tagged Governor Dikko Radda in the post, apparently calling the attention of the state government to the deteriorating security situation in the area.

As of the time of filing this report, the Katsina State Police Command has yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
