Balami’s Aviation Varsity will boost Tinubu’s victory in Borno – Keyamo

Must read

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Management, Festus Keyamo, has applauded Comrade Isaac Balami for establishing the Isaac Balami University of Aeronautics and Management (IBUAM).

He described the project as a milestone that would strengthen the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Borno ahead of the 2027 elections.

Speaking at the university’s unveiling, Keyamo said the initiative reflected President Bola Tinubu’s vision of private sector-driven education and human capital growth.

He urged Balami to spearhead political mobilization for the APC in Borno.

“The moment I was sworn in as Minister of Aviation, one of the first people who came to my office was Isaac Balami. He shared his plans for the aviation sector. I remember it was around his 39th birthday.

“He told me he had just established an MRO in Lagos and that the Isaac Balami University was on the way,” Keyamo said.

He hailed Balami’s innovation and drive, describing the university as a “revolutionary achievement.” According to him, IBUAM is the first in Africa to combine a flying school, aviation training, and an aircraft maintenance facility under one umbrella.

Also speaking, the member representing Askira Uba Federal Constituency, Hon. Midala Balami, praised the university’s founder for his resilience and foresight.

He said the project had already boosted the ruling party’s chances in Borno.

“Congratulations to Isaac Balami for completing 40 to 50 percent of the campaign for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he said.

In his remarks, Comrade Balami thanked President Tinubu, Keyamo, Seyi Tinubu, and others for their support.

He said his goal was to produce world-class aviation experts and reinvest university profits into community projects through his foundation.

The Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, announced scholarships for 100 female students, emphasizing that empowering women in aviation aligns with Tinubu’s commitment to gender inclusion.
