Human rights activist and presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has announced October 20 as the date for the planned #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest march to Aso Rock Villa in Abuja.
Sowore, who disclosed this in a post on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, said the protest would begin by 7 a.m.
In the post sighted by AFRIPOST, he wrote: “We now have a date for the historic #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest march to the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja, it is October 20 at 7AM!”
The protest is aimed at demanding the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), who has been in custody.
