Renowned broadcaster and elder statesman, Dr Christopher Kolade, has passed away at the age of 92.
His family confirmed his death in a statement issued on Thursday.
The statement said the respected diplomat and former Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom died peacefully on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
“We are thankful for his incredible life of faith and service, and are grateful for God’s abundant blessings,” the statement read in part.
Born on December 28, 1932, Kolade distinguished himself as a broadcaster, diplomat, academic, and a firm advocate of integrity and corporate governance.
He served Nigeria in various capacities, earning a reputation for discipline, humility, and public service that spanned several decades.
