Portable breaks silence amidst airport drama, urges FG to ban pranksters

Must read

Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, well known as Portable, has called on the government to ban prank videos following a recent altercation at Port Harcourt International Airport on Sunday.

The ‘Zazu‘ crooner was earlier spotted in a viral clip, showing the artiste in beige attire attempting to confront an unidentified individual while security personnel and bystanders tried to restrain him.

In the video, uniformed guards struggled to pull Portable toward a waiting vehicle in the parking lot as pushing and chaos ensued. At least one person appeared barefoot, while another wielded what looked like a belt or whip as the crowd watched.

Reacting in a video posted on his Instagram page on Monday, Portable claimed he was ambushed by “death pranksters”, a term he used for people staging extreme, life-threatening pranks for online content.

Speaking in a mix of English and Yoruba, he said: “Those people came to prank me. They were death pranksters. It almost turned to cultist level. Ten yellow no fit stand one blue.

“Make government stop all those prankers and some fake bloggers. Make them stop all this fake news post just because of small fame. Why una dey spoil person wey get glory name with una platforms,” he wrote.
