Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the security outfit, Yusuf Idowu Abass, said the matter had been reported to the Nigerian Police at Ota-Efun Division, Osogbo.

Also, Omoyele has been admitted to an undisclosed hospital where he is receiving treatment for the injuries sustained during the attack.

The statement said, “The Commander sustained gunshot injuries and is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed medical facility. His condition is said to be stable, and he is under protective watch.

“The case has been officially reported to the Ota-Efun Police Division, and investigations are currently underway. However, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, and the motive remains unclear.”
