Afrobeats gaint, Wizkid has continued to make waves internationally as his 2021 track ‘Mood,’ featuring BNXN, has officially earned Gold certification in New Zealand, marking a major milestone for both artists.
Recorded Music NZ confirmed that the song achieved 7,500 units in combined sales and streams, solidifying its success down under.
The track, which is a bonus entry on Wizkid’s ‘Made in Lagos (Deluxe Edition)’, represents Wizkid’s sixth certification and BNXN’s second in New Zealand.
This accolade comes amid a remarkable year for Wizkid, adding to his 11 new plaques in 2025 and further showcasing the global rise of Afrobeats.
