Residents of Ibeto in Magama Local Government Area of Niger State were thrown into panic on Wednesday morning as bandits reportedly stormed the community in another wave of attacks.
The development was disclosed on Wednesday by a security analyst and X user, Bakatsine.
He said assailants “returned to Ibeto again” and were “currently in the town.”
His post on X reads: “BREAKING: This morning, Bandits returned to Ibeto again, they were currently in the town. The recent wave of attacks in that axis (Zone C) region of Niger State need full govt attention.”
AFRIPOST had on Tuesday reported that Bakatsine said bandits were shooting sporadically in Ibeto.
He said, “Bandits are currently in Ibeto community, Magama LGA of Niger State, shooting sporadically. The recent wave of attacks in North Central region of Nigeria especially Niger, Kogi & Kwara State need full govt attention.
Efforts to get official reaction from the police and state government were yet to yield results at press time.
