Panic gripped Ibeto community in Magama Local Government Area of Niger State on Tuesday as suspected bandits reportedly invaded the town, shooting sporadically.
The development was disclosed by a user, Bakatsine, in a post on X, formerly Twitter, where he raised alarm over the attack.
He wrote: “BREAKING: Bandits are currently in Ibeto community, Magama LGA of Niger State, shooting sporadically. The recent wave of attacks in North Central region of Nigeria especially Niger, Kogi & Kwara State need full govt attention. @HonBago @NuhuRibadu @AhmadUsman__ @MoraxOfficial,” the post read.

As of press time, neither the Niger State Government nor security agencies has issued an official statement on the incident.
