Must read

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State has thrown its weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, pledging full support for his re-election campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The declaration came at a high-level stakeholders’ meeting that drew some of the party’s most influential figures in the state.

The gathering was marked by open expressions of confidence in Tinubu’s leadership and a renewed call for continuity under his administration.

Party leaders pointed to the President’s achievements under the Renewed Hope Agenda, describing his policies as impactful and transformative.

They highlighted strides in infrastructure, economic reforms, and youth empowerment as reasons Kano APC would back him for another term.

Speaking after the meeting, a senior party figure said, “President Tinubu has set Nigeria on a path of progress.

“From job creation to roads and rail projects, the results are visible, and Nigerians deserve to see these initiatives completed.”

The endorsement was further strengthened by the presence of key political heavyweights, including Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau, Senator Kawu Sumaila, and several current and former lawmakers.

The immediate past National Chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Ganduje, also attended the meeting, underscoring the significance of the endorsement.

Another stakeholder at the event remarked, “This is not just about politics; it is about sustaining reforms that will secure Nigeria’s economic future. Kano is ready to stand firmly with the President in 2027.”

The unanimous backing from Kano APC is seen as a major boost for Tinubu, particularly in Northern Nigeria, where political endorsements often play a decisive role in elections.

With Kano being one of the country’s most politically influential states, analysts believe the move could shape campaign dynamics as the countdown to 2027 intensifies.
