APC chieftain warns youths against opposing Tinubu in 2027

A senior figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Obidike Chukwuebuka, has cautioned Nigerian youths against turning their backs on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general election, stressing that such an act would be a grave mistake with both moral and spiritual consequences.

According to Chukwuebuka, Tinubu’s administration has made unprecedented strides in empowering young Nigerians through landmark appointments and policies designed to secure their future.

He described the President’s efforts as evidence of genuine concern for the country’s next generation.

“President Tinubu has done more to uplift young people than any other leader in recent memory,” Chukwuebuka said.

“Through his appointments and reforms, he has given youths real opportunities rather than mere promises.”

The APC chieftain highlighted the inclusion of several young leaders in top government roles as a major shift in Nigeria’s governance style.

Among those he mentioned were Dr Jamila Bio Ibrahim, Minister of Youth Development; Ayodele Olawande, Minister of State for Youth Development; Khalil Halilu, Executive Vice Chairman of NASENI; Zacch Adedeji, Chairman of FIRS; and Delu Bulus Yakubu, National Coordinator of NSIPA.

He also underscored youth-focused initiatives such as the Student Loan Act and the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) programme, which seeks to train three million Nigerians in digital and technological skills before the next election cycle.

For Chukwuebuka, these actions show that Tinubu views young people not as political pawns but as future leaders and drivers of national growth. He urged Nigerian youths to guard against being misled by partisan politics.

“Any youth who attempts to sabotage this vision is working against the progress of the nation,” he warned. “It is not only unpatriotic but also a betrayal of the future we are trying to build.”

The APC stalwart insisted that youths owe it to themselves and the country to rally behind the President, adding that their collective support would shape Nigeria’s development path in the years to come.
