Gunmen have kidnapped a member of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Wikkie Idakwo, plunging the state once again into a tense security situation.
According to AIT, the lawmaker, who represents Pankshin South Constituency, was reportedly kidnapped from his home.
AFRIPOST reports that this development adds to the wave of insecurity that has continued to trouble Plateau State, where banditry, kidnappings, and communal clashes have left many communities living in fear.
As of the time of filing this report, authorities in the state are yet to release an official statement on the abduction.
