Fresh anxiety has gripped Zamfara State following reports of a bandit attack on Tofah community in Bungudu Local Government Area.
An alarm was raised on Tuesday through a post on X (formerly Twitter), Bakatsine which read: “BREAKING: Bandits are currently in Tofah community, Bungudu LGA, Zamfara State. Authorities should please do the needful.”
The post, which tagged key government officials and security agencies, called on authorities to act swiftly to protect residents from the assailants.
Those tagged in the alert include President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Senate, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, Defence Headquarters, the Nigeria Police Force, and Minister of State for Defence Bello Matawalle.
As of the time of filing this report, there is no official confirmation from the Zamfara State Police Command or other security agencies regarding the incident.
