A security analyst, Bakatsine has disclosed that bandits killed, injured and abducted several residents of Turare village in Katsina State, while setting homes ablaze.
The attack is the latest in a series of violent raids that have plagued the state.
Disclosing the incident on Friday via a post on X (formerly Twitter), Bakatsine wrote: “ALERT: Yesterday night, bandits attacked Turare village in Katsina State, killing, injuring, abducting residents & burning houses.”
“These ruthless attacks keep happening, to show dialogue with bandits has yielded nothing. The government must take decisive action now! @dikko_radda”
As of the time of filing this report, security agencies are yet to provide official figures of casualties or the number of people abducted.
