Oyo tertiary institution announces scholarship for indigent students

One of the tertiary educational institutions own by Oyo State Government, Abiola Ajimobi Technical University has announced its readiness to award scholarships to indigent students in the institution.

The university used the opportunity to announce the opening of portal for the 2025/2026 Josephus Foundation Scholarship.

Afripost reports that the scholarship, endowed by Josephus Foundation through the university’s Chancellor, Chief (Dr.) Tunde Afolabi, was designed to support exceptionally brilliant but indigent students who may otherwise be unable to afford higher education.

According to the institution, the scholarship was merit-based and highly competitive.

The institution noted that the award is renewable annually for the duration of a beneficiary’s programme, provided recipients maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.50.

It added that shortlisted candidates will sit for a competitive aptitude test scheduled for Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.

In a statement made available to Afripost on Wednesday, the institution advised interested candidates to visit https://tech-u.edu.ng/josephus-2025-2026/ for application details or apply for a change of institution at any JAMB office or CBT centre to make Tech-U their first choice.

The institution also advised prospective applicants to direct enquiries to [email protected] or [email protected].
