Bandits reportedly attacked Dogon Daji in Zamfara State yesterday evening, killing the village’s traditional ruler and abducting several residents.
The assailants were said to have also blocked the Tsafe–Gusau road, causing fear and disruption in the area.
A social media commentator, Bakatsine disclosed the incident in a terse statement posted on X formerly Twitter on Tuesday and sighted by AFRIPOST.
He also criticized local peace deals with bandits, describing them as temporary measures that only shift violence rather than end it.
He wrote: “ALERT: Yesterday evening, bandits stormed Dogon Daji in Zamfara State, they slaughtered the village traditional ruler. They also blocked Tsafe to Gusau road and abducting several people.
Faskari LGA peace deals with bandits only shift violence not end it.
