Bandits on Sunday night reportedly invaded Yar Tafki community in Katsina State, killing, injuring and abducting residents.
The attack, AFRIPOST learnt, happened less than 40 kilometres from Faskari, where a peace parley with bandits was held earlier in the day.
A security expert, Bakatsine, who raised the alarm on X (formerly Twitter), wrote:
“Yesterday night, bandits stormed Yar Tafki in Katsina State, killing, injuring & abducting residents.
“The community isn’t up to 40km distance from Faskari, where a peace parley with bandits was held yesterday afternoon.”
As of press time, the state government and security agencies are yet to issue official statements.
