Must read

A major breakthrough has been recorded in the investigation into the assassination of conservative commentator and Trump’s ally Charlie Kirk, with authorities confirming that a suspect is now in custody.

Officials disclosed that the man arrested is 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, who was identified following tips provided by members of his family.

Reports indicate that his father played a key role by alerting investigators, leading to the arrest.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox confirmed the development, while President Donald Trump also stated that with “a high degree of certainty,” security agencies believe they have the right individual in custody.

AFRIPOST reported that Charlie Kirk was shot dead on the campus of Utah Valley University earlier this week, a killing that sparked nationwide outrage and prompted an intensive manhunt involving the FBI and state authorities.

Investigators earlier released surveillance footage and urged the public to assist in tracking down the shooter.

Several persons of interest had been detained and later freed after being cleared of involvement.

The FBI and local police have not yet disclosed the motive for the shooting but say the case remains active, with further details expected in the coming days.

Kirk’s death has drawn widespread condemnation from political leaders, activists, and citizens across the country, many of whom described the attack as a shocking act of violence against free speech.
