Nigerian celebrity chef, Hilda Baci, has kicked off her Guinness World Record attempt to cook the world’s largest pot of jollof rice.
The Guinness World Record holder, who rose to fame in 2023 after breaking the record for the longest cooking marathon, kicked off the massive challenge amid cheers from fans and well-wishers.
As the cooking began, Hilda, alongside her mother, were captured praying fervently for the success of the attempt, seeking blessings for strength, endurance, and safety.
The heartfelt moment drew emotional reactions from the crowd, many of whom hailed her as the backbone of Hilda’s journey.
“Yes, I can officially confirm this pot is squeaky clean! I personally rolled up my sleeves and washed it myself. In just a few hours, this same pot will be home to thousands of servings of Nigerian Jollof history in the making,” she captioned the video.
