Spokesperson to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Dr. Daniel Bwala, has said the President’s priority is alleviating the suffering of Nigerians rather than chasing international popularity.
The clarification was made in a post on Monday via his X handle, sighted by AFRIPOST, where Bwala shared a video of his interview on the subject.
“Mr. President enjoys recognition abroad, but our aim is not to chase popularity.
“He is deeply admired by the citizens of Nigeria. Popularity does not define a positive regime, as it can stem from misguided reasons.
“We are focused on alleviating the suffering of Nigerians, which is the President’s priority.
“His global esteem comes from delivering results in foreign assignments, prompting nations to seek collaboration with him,” Bwala wrote.
Bwala stressed that Tinubu’s recognition on the international stage stems from his ability to deliver results, which, according to him, has made other nations eager to partner with Nigeria.
