Omokri questions Obi-Datti alliance over stance on El-Rufai

Must read

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has expressed doubts about the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential ticket, questioning the consistency of Peter Obi and his running mate, Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed, over their stance on former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.

Omokri, in a post on his verified X handle, sighted by AFRIPOST on Wednesday, criticised what he described as a contradiction between the duo’s political moves.

He wrote: “Peter Obi is politically romancing Nasir El-Rufai while his running mate in the #NigerianElections2023, Senator Datti Baba Ahmed, is politically damaging the same El-Rufai. I am not really understanding this their so-called coalition.”

The comment quickly stirred reactions from X users, with many weighing in on Obi’s political strategies ahead of the 2027 general elections.

A user identified as MO said: “Peter Obi really needs to calm down. The 2027 election is not as opened as that of 2023 when he had the best chance. I know his supporters would not want to hear this but it is the truth. He’s coming 3rd again (if he contests).”

Another user, Sarki Rafi, remarked: “May God continue to forbid Peter Obi from happening to Nigeria and Nigerians.”

@Ayo commented: “Because Peter Obi is a parasite, he already use datti and he doesn’t care about datti anymore, that’s what parasite does, they live and feed on the expense of others, they benefited from the relationship while the others normally suffer from harm.”

Similarly, Duke of Stallion wrote: “Peter Obi is jumping up here and there to make friends by force not knowing it is already too late for him to find a known butcher.”
