Vice presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party in the 2023 election, Archbishop Isaac Idahosa, has declared that there are only two political parties in the country, claiming the NNPP and others.
Idahosa, who was the running mate to Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso in the last presidential poll, stated this while speaking at the National Executive Committee meeting of the party held in Abuja.
“First and foremost, it’s important I congratulate our national leader, our navigator, our pathfinder, the man that circumcised me politically, His Excellency, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso,” he said.
The cleric, who described Kwankwaso as the only credible alternative before Nigerians in 2027, insisted that the party’s recent victory in a House of Representatives by-election was proof of its growing strength and relevance.
“It is gratifying to note that our party, NNPP, has continued to show reliance and focus under the able leadership of my boss, Kwankwaso,” he added.
“Let me make it clear here that Nigerians are looking up to our leader for directions and leadership.
“The only thing that made our party credible today is the credibility and integrity, sagacity, capacity, ability of my boss, the Madugu of Nigerian politics.
“He is the only credible alternative before us that is capable of restoring hope, equity and justice to the Nigerian people and the Nigerian masses are awaiting your rising to the throne very soon.
“Leadership is about the people and not of personal interest.
“It is important to note that we have only two parties in Nigeria, NNPP and others.”
