Idris, in a statement described Chedi’s passing as a painful loss not only to his family and colleagues but also to the entire public relations community in Nigeria.
“It is with a heavy heart that I received the sad news of the passing of Malam Bashir Chedi, fnipr. His departure is not just a personal loss to his family and professional colleagues, but a painful one to the entire Public Relations community in Nigeria,” the minister said.
He noted that Chedi devoted more than three decades of his life to public relations practice, distinguishing himself as “a brother, a bridge between generations, and a dependable voice in the practice of public relations.”
