Four persons abducted by suspected bandits in Katsina State have been rescued by a combined team of security operatives.
The development was disclosed on Tuesday by a counter-insurgency expert and security analyst, Zagazola Makama, via his X handle and sighted by AFRIPOST.
He said, “A combined team of security personnel have rescued four kidnapped victims during a patrol in Malali Village, Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State.
“Sources told Zagazola Makama that the operation, carried out on Monday by the troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA, police, members of the C-Watch and local hunters, intercepted suspected bandits who were holding the victims.
“The troops engaged the criminals, forcing them to retreat into the bush, and successfully rescued the victims.
“The rescued persons were identified as Hajiya Rabi Musa, 45, Fatima Abdullahi, 18, Shamsu Nuhu, 19, and Saminu Isah, 16, all from Malumfashi and Kankara LGAs.
“Sources said the victims were taken to the General Hospital, Kankara, for medical attention, after which they would be reunited with their families.
