Adeyanju knocks voters over alleged vote-buying in Kaduna by-election

Must read

Human rights activist, Deji Adeyanju, has criticised voters in Kaduna State over alleged vote-buying during the recently concluded by-election.

In a post on Sunday sighted by AFRIPOST on X (formerly Twitter), Adeyanju questioned the decision of some voters to accept money in exchange for their ballots, warning that such actions would leave them with long-term consequences.

“I hope the N1,000 people collected in the recently conducted by-election in Kaduna will be enough for them till 2027? Enjoy your loot guys. Happy Sunday everyone,” he wrote.

Adeyanju, who is known for his outspoken stance on governance, noted that short-term financial inducements undermine democratic development and leave citizens vulnerable to poor leadership.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had conducted by-elections in several states, including Kaduna, to fill vacant legislative seats.
