An Inspector of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Shabali Adamu, has died in a road accident along the Damba–Gusau Expressway in Zamfara State.
The incident occurred while Adamu was traveling home to Kwatarkoshi with his family after work.
In a statement, the Zamfara State Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Correctional Service, ASC1 Mustapha Abubakar, said the outgoing Controller of Correctional Service, Assistant Controller General Alhaji Musa Tanko, described the deceased as a dedicated officer who consistently gave his best in service to the nation and the Correctional Service.
However, the ACG on behalf of officers extended condolences to Adamu’s immediate family, colleagues, and the entire Nigerian Correctional Service.
Until his passing, Adamu served at the Medium Security Custodial Center, Gusau (MSCC Gusau).
