A disturbing video has gone viral showing armed men, reportedly operatives of Operation Udo Ga-Achi, also known as the Agunechemba Vigilante Group, storming a corps members’ lodge in Anambra State.
The armed men assaulted a female corps member, Jennifer Edema Elohor, along with some of her colleagues.
The footage, shared by the Haven 360 Foundation on Facebook, captured the victim being beaten and stripped naked by men wielding firearms.
The foundation reported that the corps members were subjected to brutal and humiliating treatment, including sexually degrading threats.
The vigilantes reportedly accused the young members of being involved in cybercrime, despite their attempts to prove their identity with official NYSC cards.
The foundation wrote, “We strongly condemn the brutal assault and violation of rights of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members by operatives of Operation Udo Ga-Achi or ‘Agunechemba Vigilante Group’ in Anambra State.
On July 23, 2025, the state actors stormed the corpers lodge, accusing the members of being ‘Yahoo people’, despite their prompt production of NYSC identification cards and uniforms.
“The assault was particularly egregious in the case of Jennifer Edema Elohor, who was beaten, stripped naked, and left exposed and covered in blood.
“The victims were subjected to unsavoury, horrible, sexually degrading words and actions, including threats of sexual violation.”
The Anambra state government is yet to release an official statement regarding the attack.
