The Ondo State Police Command has announced the passing of the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Kajola Police Station, Odigbo Local Government Area, CSP Nimrod Anaka.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Ayanlade Olushola, confirmed the development to the News Agency of Nigeria on Wednesday.
“I can confirm that the DPO (Anaka) has died, but it’s only medical expert that can confirm what caused his death.
“His age and indigene will be made known to the public later,” Ayanlade said.
Sources disclosed that the officer developed a sudden illness and passed away on Tuesday while being rushed to a hospital for treatment.
The incident has thrown officers at the station into mourning as his remains have been deposited at a mortuary.
