Fani-Kayode cautions Babachir Lawal over remarks on Yoruba people

Must read

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has warned former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, to be mindful of his comments about the Yoruba ethnic group.

In a post sighted by AFRIPOST on X, formerly Twitter, Fani-Kayode described Lawal’s recent remarks, made during an appearance on Channels Television, as an attack on an entire race, warning that such statements weaken his argument and damage his credibility.

Fani-Kayode wrote, “I advise you to be very careful with your words and your characterisation of an entire race my dear brother Babachir Lawal.

“You know I have a soft spot for you but attacking the Yoruba race does not strengthen your case. It diminishes you, weakens your arguement and destroys your credibility. I seem to remember that it was a Yoruba man by the name of @officialABAT that nominated you for the position of Sec. to the Federal Government in @MBuhari’s government.

“You appear to have forgotten about that. The Bible says “he who repays good with evil, evil shall never leave his house”. Despite all I shall continue to pray for you. Shalom.
