Star street pop artiste, Naira Marley has stirred conversations on social media after sharing a cryptic post while subtly shades controversial nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo.
The marlian boss quoted a line from his 2018 hit track Japa: โJapa japa omo ja wo Canada ๐ถ,โ which loosely translates to โThe child has fled to Canada.โ
The short post immediately triggered speculation among fans, many of whom suggested it was a subtle reference to Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo.
Iyabo Ojo is presently in Canada, awaiting the arrival of her grandchild. Her trip came shortly after news of her daughter Priscillaโs pregnancy surfaced online.
Naira Marley fueled further buzz by posting an audio clip of the same lyric on his Instagram story, rekindling public discussions about his strained relationship with the actress.
Their fallout dates back to the heated controversy surrounding the death of fast-rising singer Mohbad. Iyabo Ojo was among those who publicly accused Naira Marley and his Marlian Music label of bullying and mistreating the late artiste.
The post comes amid a wave of online criticism against Iyabo Ojo, spearheaded by social media commentator Verydarkman, who has been releasing โevidenceโ and accusing the actress of unfairly targeting Naira Marley instead of focusing on justice for Mohbad.
