Must read

Three exceptional Nigerian students, Nafisa Abdullahi, Rukaiya Mohammed Fema, and Khadija Kashim Kalli, have received fully-funded scholarships from the Atiku Abubakar Foundation (AAF) following their remarkable performance at the TeenEagle Global finals.

The scholarship, described as life-changing, will not only cover the girls’ remaining years in secondary school but will also sponsor their university education, regardless of the institution they choose.

In a congratulatory letter sent to the trio, the AAF reaffirmed its dedication to supporting educational excellence, especially among young girls.

“This award will see you through the rest of your secondary education and fund your entire university journey,” the foundation stated.

Their victory at the TeenEagle competition underscores their academic excellence, while the scholarship serves as a recognition of their potential and a commitment to nurturing future leaders.

For many observers, this gesture offers hope and serves as a reminder that talent, when supported, can transcend socio-economic barriers.

The Atiku Abubakar Foundation, established by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has consistently championed educational initiatives in Nigeria.

The latest scholarship aligns with its broader mission of promoting access to quality education for girls and underserved communities.

Commenting on the importance of investing in girl-child education, Atiku Abubakar reiterated, “When you invest in the education of a girl child, you are invariably investing in the education of a prospective family and community.”

The foundation’s latest intervention has been widely praised as a meaningful step towards bridging educational inequality and fostering inclusive development through academic empowerment.
