Chelsea Football Club has completed the signing of highly rated teenage defender, Jorrel Hato, from Dutch giants Ajax.
The 19-year-old Netherlands international has penned a long-term deal that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2032.
He is expected to link up with his new teammates this week as pre-season activities intensify.
In an official announcement shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, the club confirmed the signing.
“Chelsea is delighted to announce the signing of Netherlands international Jorrel Hato from Ajax,” the statement read.
Reacting to the move, Hato expressed his excitement and confidence in his decision to join the Premier League club.
“I’m very excited, I’m so happy to be here.
I thought a lot about my future and wanted to take the next step in my career.
Chelsea is the best place for me to do that so I’m very happy.”
