The National Emergency Management Agency has received 139 stranded Nigerian returnees from Agadez, Niger Republic, as part of its ongoing efforts to guarantee the safe and respectable return of Nigerian migrants.
AFRIPOST reports that on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, the returnees landed at around 7:57 p.m. on a Sky Mali flight at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano.
However, in a post on their verified X Page on Thursday, NEMA stated that it had officially received the returnees.
The returnees included 32 female children, 33 male children, 52 female adults, and 22 male adults, according to NEMA’s Kano Operations Office.
“The returnees were documented and were subsequently transported to Badala Hotel for accommodation, and profiling took place the following day, 30th July 2025.
“The reception exercise was well coordinated and successfully conducted”, NEMA stated on their X page.
