Ace Nollywood actress, Angela Okorie has revealed her personal experience with Naira Marley, the embattled singer and head of Marlian Music.
She described him as generous, calm, and completely different from the image painted by public controversies.
Sharing a video on her Instagram page on Wednesday, Angela recounted a moment from a few years ago when Naira Marley attended her birthday and left a lasting impression on her.
“One of my birthdays, about the last three or four years ago, Naira Marley surprised me. He gave me lots of money. I was shocked. The encouragement he gave to me, nobody has ever given it to me in this demonic industry where you and I know people just envy you for nothing, for being yourself, for being bold, for talking and working so hard. People are just going to envy you,” she said.
She explained that following the surprise, she paid him a visit to thank him, which eventually led to a music collaboration. According to her, Naira Marley promoted the song without hesitation.
Angela went on to describe the Marlian Music boss as someone who keeps to himself and rarely gets involved in conflict.
“Naira Marley was too nice to me. He doesn’t even talk. He is not a fighter. He doesn’t even talk. The Naira Marley that I know is a sweet soul.”
