Tragedy struck in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State as a boy identified as Emmanuel, who was alleged to have beheaded his brother, Daniel, has died from injuries sustained during a mob attack.
Eyewitnesses said the suspect was caught by residents shortly after committing the act and was subjected to a brutal beating before being handed over to police.
“He was rushed to the hospital but eventually succumbed to the injuries,” the sources added.
Confirming the incident with our correspondent, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Olayinka Alayande said, “Yes, the suspect died in the hospital.”
