Tragedy struck in the Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State, after a young man, identified as Micheal Ikuedowoni, was allegedly stabbed to death by his girlfriend, Augustina Mowari.
The incident occurred during a confrontation between the two lovers, which resulted to Micheal’s death from a stab wound inflicted with a pair of scissors.
Confirming the development, the Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, said in a telephone interview on Monday that the suspect had been arrested and was currently in custody while investigations continue.
“An argument broke out between both parties, and she brought out scissors to stab the boy before he died.
“So, the lady is in custody, and we shall charge the case to court after our investigation,” the police spokesman added.
AFRIPOST reports that the killing comes just days after another disturbing case in the state, in which Joy Adeyemi, an undergraduate student of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend.
