The newly appointed All Progressives Congress (APC) national chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, has boldly claimed that no opposition party in the country is fit enough to challenge the ruling party.
He made the proclamation on Thursday, while being interviewed on Channels Television Politics today, downplaying the relevance of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), African Democratic Congress (ADC) and others.
“There is no opposition for now,” he said dismissively on the Channels Television’ live programme shortly after he emerged as the ruling party’s chairman.
Further standing on his words, the former minister, now turned party chairman, insists that APC has nothing to fear and the opposition parties are bound to fail, with examples being evident in the recently concluded off-season governorship polls post-2023 general elections in Edo, Ondo, Kogi and Imo states.
