Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has debunked speculations suggesting he might dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stating unequivocally that he remains committed to the party.
Speaking on Monday during the flag-off ceremony for the dualisation of the 3.5-kilometre Ila township road in Ila-Orangun, Adeleke emphasized his unwavering dedication to public service.
“I was elected on the platform of the PDP and so shall I remain in the party. I’m not going anywhere,” the governor declared.
He said the road project, despite ongoing challenges in the country, symbolizes his administration’s resilience and devotion to infrastructural development.
“Our gathering here to witness the materialisation of a new era is not an accident of history. We are all programmed by Almighty God to be what we have been, what we are, and what we will be in the future,” he added.
Governor Adeleke highlighted his achievements, noting that his government has completed works on over 175 kilometres of roads across Osun State.
He added that more dual carriageways and flyovers are in progress, reaffirming his vow to see through the Osogbo–Ikirun–Inisha–Okuku–Ijabe–Ila Odo dualisation—a 39km route connecting Osun to Kwara State.
“The second phase, which we are flagging off today, is almost the same length as what was completed in 12 years. By the grace of God, we intend to deliver this project within 12 months,” he said.
